New Name, Same Store

Western Power & Hardware started out as Western Auto in 1958, when it was located across the street from Needville City Hall. O.F. Kohleffel and his wife, Meadie, ran the store until their son, Leroy Kohleffel took over. It was then, in 1974, that he moved the store to its current location at 8928 Main Street in downtown Needville. Kerry and Charlie Kohleffel would later take over the store and have been running it ever since.

In January of 2004, Western Auto Supply Company went out of business. We decided on Western Power & Hardware and made the change in July of 2005. It is still the same owners and employees, but it just has a different name.

Kerry and Charlie Kohleffel have both been working at Western Power & Hardware for over 30 years.

Michael Schneider has been working here for over 10 years. Mike is the "parts man", and if you've ever ordered a part for a lawn mower, you have probably dealt with him.

Bruce Brodie is the OPA and ESA certified service technician. He is also a certified Master Service Technician.
